Visual Artist Aslı Kaya

This project was all about giving an artist complete creative control over her digital gallery. Instead of forcing her artwork into a generic blog structure, I built a custom WordPress theme that actually makes sense for showcasing visual art.

The real magic happened with the custom post types and taxonomies I developed specifically for her work. Now she can upload new pieces, categorize them by medium or theme, and organize everything without touching a single line of code. No more wrestling with blog posts or trying to make WordPress do something it wasn’t designed for.

I also created custom fields that let her add detailed information about each piece – dimensions, materials, availability, you name it. The result? A clean, intuitive admin experience where she can focus on her art instead of fighting with technology.

The best part? She’s completely independent now. New exhibition? She uploads it herself. Want to reorganize her portfolio? Done in minutes. No more waiting for a developer or dealing with complicated content management systems.
