I recently completed a project for a psychotherapist, where I developed a custom WordPress theme from scratch. This classical theme was tailored specifically to meet the unique needs and preferences of my client, ensuring a seamless and personalized user experience.
Custom Post Types
One of the standout features of this theme is the custom events post type. This allows the end user to effortlessly create posts about upcoming activities or make important announcements.
WordPress typically includes only one default post type, which is for blog posts. However, to meet my client’s unique needs, I developed a custom post type specifically for events.
Additionally, the user can easily share podcasts by simply pasting the Spotify RSS code into the posts, streamlining the process of integrating audio content.
Custom Fields
I also implemented custom fields for this post type, allowing the user to input additional details. Unlike traditional blogposts that display the publication date, this custom feature enables the user to specify and showcase either past or future dates, providing flexibility and relevance for various event entries.
Functionality
This is a very functional website. People can make calls or make an appointment online. Its lightweight theme does not rely on any page builders which slow down the site with their poor code output.
